Why these documents matter
Since 2024, Cuba has replaced the old paper tourist card with an Electronic Visa. Travelers must also have the related D’Viajeros Form.
If the required documents are missing or not correctly completed, the airline may refuse boarding.
Travel health insurance is also a legal entry requirement for Cuba. Proof of adequate coverage may be requested on arrival, and without suitable insurance, medical expenses incurred in Cuba remain the traveler’s responsibility.

Is the electronic visa mandatory?

How long is the visa valid?
The electronic visa is valid for 90 days for a single entry. It can be extended by another 90 days once in Cuba, for a possible total stay of up to 180 days.
